    New Concord went to a unicameral system in 2005 with the election of nine Elders to the Session.  A number of the former Deacons became Elders as the Board of Deacons was phased out.

    The Session is led by the Moderator with guidance and support provided by the Clerk of the Session.

    The Session meets monthly to coordinate the work of all committees, to set goals, to develop short-term and long-term plans and to evaluate the Church’s ministry.
